About this project
Dungeon Fragments is a 16-bit turn-based roguelite grid crawler built around short runs and a wide range of character builds. Move one tile at a time, fight enemies, collect equipment, descend through increasingly dangerous floors, and spend Fragments earned on death on permanent prestige upgrades for future runs. The game features around 80 passive effects across six rarity tiers, an Affinity system covering ATK, DEF, SPD, CRIT, and LUCK, dual- and tri-affinity mastery passives, and four starting classes with different stats and starter items. Enemies include Grunts, Chargers, Rangers, and Healers, alongside bosses, rare bosses, and elites with additional modifiers. Later floors introduce modifiers and debuffs that change encounters, while the prestige system includes 21 permanent upgrades across four categories and 20 Echo milestones. Dungeon Fragments runs directly in the browser, supports desktop and mobile controls, and uses procedural 16-bit-style music synthesized with Web Audio.
