Privacy and data choices
Privacy policy

DEAD.ARMY is an independent, non-commercial, one-person project and is not currently operated through a registered company. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to support@dead.army.
This policy explains the product's current data practices. It is intended to be clear about the service, not to claim that the available information replaces jurisdiction-specific legal advice or a formal data-protection review.
Data and purposes
Accounts and authentication: email address, authentication identifiers, provider details, and basic profile information are used to create accounts, sign users in, secure sessions, and provide account features. The product-level basis is account performance and, where applicable, legitimate interests in account security.
Profiles and publishing: display name, account type, author attribution, project metadata, covers, preview media, uploaded builds, external URLs, and moderation records are used to publish, review, maintain, and attribute projects. The product-level basis is providing requested publishing features and the legitimate interest of operating a moderated catalog.
Favorites and ratings: saved project IDs, ratings, and related timestamps are used to provide those account features and aggregate community signals. The product-level basis is account feature performance.
Newsletter: an email address is used only to send requested DEAD.ARMY updates. The product-level basis is consent, which can be withdrawn through the email link or by contacting support.
Analytics and launches: optional analytics events, coarse opening counts, referrer data, and consent state are used to understand project discovery and platform performance. Google Analytics is loaded only after analytics consent. Essential security and operational logs may still be processed when needed to protect the service.
Moderation and security: reports, review decisions, availability results, redirect destinations, URL security status, limited content fingerprints, and provider responses are used to prevent abuse, investigate reports, monitor external destinations, and pause suspicious launches. The product-level basis is legitimate interest in service security, rights protection, and moderation.
Service providers
Supabase provides authentication, database, and file storage. Render hosts the application, scheduled jobs, and runtime services. Google may receive authentication data when Google sign-in is selected and analytics data when analytics consent is granted. A reputation provider may receive submitted external URLs for security checks when that integration is enabled. These providers process data under their own terms and applicable contracts.
Retention
Account and publishing data is retained while the account, project, security need, or legal obligation remains. Raw optional analytics are retained for up to 180 days, raw launch events for up to 365 days, completed cleanup records for up to 30 days, and security/availability check history for as long as needed to investigate abuse, maintain reliability, and document moderation decisions. Aggregate counters may be retained longer.
Cookies and local storage
Authentication uses essential session storage. With analytics consent, DEAD.ARMY stores an HTTP-only anonymous analytics identifier and may load Google Analytics. Your analytics choice is stored locally and can be changed through "Privacy settings" in the footer.
International processing
DEAD.ARMY uses infrastructure and providers that may process data in countries outside the country where a visitor or creator lives. The applicable safeguards depend on provider configuration, hosting regions, contracts, and the user's jurisdiction. The service will update this section if its provider or region configuration materially changes.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, export, deletion, restriction, objection, or information about processing. You may decline analytics, withdraw analytics consent, and unsubscribe from newsletters. Email support@dead.army with the account email, request, and enough information to verify ownership. We may ask for additional verification before disclosing or deleting account data.
Where data-protection law gives you a right to complain, you may contact the supervisory authority responsible for your place of residence, workplace, or the alleged infringement. DEAD.ARMY will respond to requests within the period required by applicable law.
Children
The service is not intended for children under 13. Mature content is limited to a 16+ classification, and explicit sexual content is prohibited.
Changes
This policy may change as the project grows. The effective date above will be updated when the changes materially affect how data is processed.
