About this project
Orrery is an interactive 3D model of the solar system that runs in the browser. It shows the planets and moons in their orbits for any date, with the real sky behind them, and lets you fly around the system at your own pace. Beyond the solar system, the project includes a catalogue of exoplanet systems to visit, making it a small astronomy sandbox as much as a planetarium. It is built with three.js, works on desktop and mobile, and installs as a PWA. Developer and author - https://github.com/jarvisar
